Questions and Answers

The following common questions and answers were designed to give you a better understanding of chiropractic in general, and about the office of Whole Health Chiropractic:

How do joints become out of alignment?
The first thing you should know is that muscles are attached to joints throughout your body. That's how we move about. When muscles are overused and tight, they pull on the joints to which they are attached. Over time, these joints are pulled out of alignment, creating a whole spectrum of problems. These problems include a decreased range of motion, loss of flexibility, or stiffness and aching in the neck or back.

Won't this pain go away by itself?
Sometimes, but that does not mean the problem is gone. Because the misalignment has not been corrected, the stiffness or pain returns in nearly all cases. It is just a matter of time.

What about medication?
Most medications just dull the sensation of pain, without correcting the real problem. The problem remains in the joints, and the symptoms return when the medication wears off.

Does chiropractic hurt?
No. In fact, most people report an immediate sense of relief after the first session. By combining massage with chiropractic, pressure is reduced in both the muscles and the joints, and a deep feeling of relaxation is experienced.

I'm not in pain now. Can chiropractic help me?
Yes. Since most everyone has tight muscles, and some degree of misalignment of the joints, even people without any pain syndrome can experience a sense of wellness and rejuvenation after a chiropractic session. Periodic chiropractic visits are a good way to prevent more serious misalignments from occurring.

How costly is chiropractic?
Fortunately, chiropractic is relatively inexpensive compared to many medical treatments, and most insurance plans cover chiropractic care. We have many payment plans that help you get the care you need, and 15-minute consultations are complimentary.
